D5 debug problems

Hi.
My projects all debug properly, until I try a new one.
When compiled the source shows no debug (blue dot lines).
Debug path points to the included PAS files. Debug is switched on in
Project options with Debug info. Ive searched the PAS files for any
debug off conditionals but none.
Anything else I could try?
