I did try it, and it seemed to work the way I expected, but I wasn't
sure if there might be subtle side effects I wasn't aware of. I'm
self-taught (barely!) and I know I've probably missed a lot of basic
things about the way the language works. Delphi is the first
"visual"-type language I've worked in, too, so I'm sure I'm missing
stuff when it comes to working with event handlers and so forth...

Plus, I also wasn't sure if there might be a better way of creating
"global" event handlers...
