Perhaps, better something more robust

There are conflicting requirements. On one hand, you want something
that is easily updated while your browser is already running and
displaying the "application loading" page. On the other hand, you
want to be protected from rogue updates no matter by who: the user,
an honest third program, or a dishonest one.

I'm not sure that I'm keen on updating already running applications
- although sometimes it is useful

Mainly I'm worried about integrity
