It constantly surprises me as people constantly start writing their own
TStrinGrid behaviour. And after trying that, they constantly post and
ask the same TStrinGrid related questions here.
It should not be so difficult to make even _quick_ Google search, its
usually saves days of your working time. Very often you find the readily
written answers and code from the existing archives.
I have used Anders Horstmeyer's TStringAlignGrid (free with sources) at
least from the year 1998. http://www.hoerstemeier.com/grid.htm It has
served me with all the aligning, coloring, formatting StringGrid needs
that I have had this far.
Yet many developers constantly start everything from nil. And constantly
start to write all this same functionality around TStingGrid, and spend
several, several days or weeks with that.
