Application.Handle could be used as well. That's even simplier than
creating
an independent window handle and the help window behaves the same way. In
this
case you can trap the WM_TCARD message in Application.OnMessage.

This is an area of programming I have no experience with whatsoever. And it
looks like I get where I want to go in no time with the help you've
provided.
