100% of the onboard VGA chipsets are far inferior than the PCI/AGP
ones.
Okay, but it sounds like that would depend on the chipset, not on the
connection method. (Integrated chips still have to be connected to the
CPU somehow, and fully-soldered logic can even be faster than slots
which can make poor connections and can't be minitiaturised below human
dimensions.)
It should be in the Registry somewhere what chipset is being used to
drive the display. If all else fails, do a comparison of before and
after registry dumps across selecting a different video driver.
