It was, indeed, in the beginning. But if you ask people now, most of
them seem to be using the docked appearance. After a while, I also
preferred the docked IDE over the floating one.
Hm. Are you using a single monitor? I wonder how people with 2-screens
deal with docked mode.
I am using a single monitor, indeed. If you need 2 monitors, you may
want to use floating mode, although I personally would not want to
spread the IDE over 2 monitors.
I fail to see the real advantage of 2 monitors anyway, except the
larger screen space.
