Thot I would try to write some intro stuff on the
F03 features in Lahey. I don't think I can do much
until I understand a lot more about how it works.
I can't just try things the way I think they should
work, because the compiler accepts things illegal
and doesn't accept other things.
For example, apparently the SELECT TYPE construct
is not accepted. If I understand anything at all,
it seems you can't do much polymorphism without it.
Before going any further, I need more discusssion
with somebody about how this is all supposed to
work or maybe get the NAG compiler to check things.
Brian, maybe as we drive to CA in Dec., we can
figure out some of this, or else hope that Rich
continues his tutorial on the OO features.
Anyway, I am giving up for now.
