Ah. I see now. Problem with antecedents. (Us editor types are
familliar with confusions like that).

I took the "Not" to be referring to the imediately preceeding phrase,
the "but normally that's implied". Thus, I thought you were saying
that the "-I." was not implied in AIX. I now see that you were
instead referring to the first clause of the preceding sentence, rather
than the second clause, so you meant that the "-I." was not needed
on AIX (which is the same thing as saying that it *IS* implied).
