Which system should I invest in for Windows programs
Intel Visual Fortran, Lahey, or others?
I have used Lahey, but a recent Microsoft "broke" all my old executables,
and Lahey does not seem to want to offer a fix...in other words, they have
left us high and dry.
Intel (formerly) /HP/Compaq/Digital I have used in the past. There were a
lot of great extensions. I went to Lahey because of their libraries, all of
which are now obsolete.
GNU seems still off in the future, or maybe never.....
I may want to do some very light windows programming, but am primarily
interested in text based I/O.
I am also interested in cross-platform compatibility (at least at the source
code level)
