question about intel compiler

I installed Intel C++ compiler on my Windows XP, with visual studio and
CVF installed.
but I have a problem of
Error spawning xilink6.exe
for some projects
and
Error spawning xicl6.exe
for other projects.
Any clues on what happens here and what can I do to fix it. I saw
several people complained about this but by far no solution yet.
