The problem is JUST to read the items into a adequate array SEQUENTIALLY,
however by introducing exotic offsets,doloop_increments, etc you seem to be
trying to (unsuccessfully imo) come up with a case that cant be processed,
no disrespect is/was intended to anyone in this newsgroup, unlike some of
my posts in comp.lang.pl1 where a LOT of MUTUAL disrepect is shown, and a
lot of ABSOLUTELY FALSE statements are posted in support of PL/I., some of
which are by comp.lang.fortran posters, you know who you are).
