CSV Output Format Statement

Can anyone suggest a better way to get CSV format from an ouput
statement. I can fill an output statement with ,",", or similar, but
wondered if there was a better way. Output is requested to go into an
EXCEL spreadsheet. Note that I am at a very low skill level.
