I pointed out more than two years ago in this forum that the
committee has too much of a tendency to prematurely set
features in stone. As I understand it, it's not presently possible
within the rules of the committee to change the set of features
that are being considered, nor even suggest more than cosmetic
changes to them. So, the only point of even attending meetings
at this time would be to vote against the features and simply
hope that a different (better) set of proposals arise next time.

I think that it *is* still possible within the rules to simply delete
proposed features. Maybe that's wrong too though. :-( I won't
find out. Attending meetings is too costly and time consuming
if my only possible role is as a spoiler.
