The schedule was (or is) imposed by ISO.

Well... I'd call that a bit misleading. ISO imposes things that keep the
schedule from being too fast - the various review cycle requirements.
But that doesn't have much to do with my complaint that this one is
going too fast. The schedule is established by WG5. Yes, that's an ISO
committee, if that's what you are referring to. But it isn't as if that
means that anything from WG5 constitutes divine command. WG5 is a group
os people just like J3. In fact, J3 constitutes a majority of the
individual members of WG5 and is very influential on it

Yes, the schedule is set by WG5. That's true. But I see an implication
that it is therefore inviolate. That isn't. Note that my comments were
not directed at J3. For that matter, my comments weren't directed at
WG5. I know where to go to direct comments at WG5; it isn't here. I was
just expressing my opinion about the wisdom of the schedule. I kjnow how
to make a formal proposal gto change it. I also know (well, make that
strongly suspect - enough that I don't think it wise to submit such a
proposal) that I'd lose.

If you come to vote, be prepared to lose a few.

Yep, I do. And I know that losing a single vote isn't the end of the
world or reason to castigate the committee. This is one I lost on.
