I think the obsolescing of ENTRY was removed from the work list

At least, ENTRY isn't in small font in the current draft.

Ah. Too bad. I was happy to see ENTRY on the proposed obsolescent list.

I think the main argument against obsolescenting ENTRY was that no
vendor will ever take it out of their compiler. Hence, there's no
point in starting it on the road to removal from the standard.
People don't have to use ENTRY, but they already can do that ;).
Obsolescenting it doesn't give them anything new. Small font
just makes things harder to read.

There was a similar project to actually delete statement functions.
They've been obsolescent for a long time now. But, I think the
reality is that they too would never be removed from a real compiler.
Leaving them in, even in the annoying small font, makes it much more
likely that future extensions to Fortran will be more likely to be
compatible with statement functions (and ENTRY).

I'd guess that the obsolescent/removed experiment is over and that
nothing of any significance will be made obsolescent and that nothing
will be removed. There's just too much old code.
