Re: noob question re: space delimited input

I have tried everything you guys suggested, still no go, it must be
something to do with the compiler or maybe the dos shell I am running
it in. My actual program had most everything initialized since it is
part of a subroutine. I am going to try with a different compiler, any
suggestions?

Hmm. One suggestion. Just a wild guess. I advise against using unit
numbers less than about 10. Sometimes those units are reserved for
special purposes (such as standard input/output). The symptoms don't
seem right, but just to be sure, you might try a unit number other than
1 (use 10 or higher).

Otherwise, I suggest that you need to show a complete, runnable sample,
with no "..."s. I'm at loss as to exactly what it might be, but my best
guess at the moment is that it is in something that you didn't show us.
Suspecting the compiler or dos shell would *NOT* be very high on my list
without more data. What you showed us is too simple for it to be very
plausible as a compiler error. And it is hard to imagine what a dos
shell would have to do with it.
