comp.lang.c is accessible via gmane (gmane.org) however
comp.lang.fortran does not seem to be there. Any idea if this is
intentional or just a coincidence?
The reason why I am interested is that, currently I am using a
private news server to read/post on this newsgroup. In couple of
months I loose access to that server. So I would prefer access to
this newsgroup from a free service such as gmane. If there are other
alternatives available, please enlighten me.

you could try news.aioe.org although I think they hope to have limited posting-traffic.

Or fork out 5 bucks a month for a newsfeed. Pays to shop around. If you need more bandwidth for binaries than the minimum, you either have a serious hobby or a problem.
