It's quite late in the gcc 4.3 cycle (~soon), so it might be that this
patch will be included in 4.4 (+~1 year). I don't know enough about
the gdb release cycle to be able to estimate when the corresponding
gdb stuff might be available in a stable release.
that is great news! do you know if someone has plans for looking at
slices from fortran multidimensional arrays from the gdb command line,
ala "p arr1(2:4,5)"?
