64bit) capablity on a Tiger PPC system (G5 MacOSX 10.4.x) and can

No, but I can build one just for you if you can provide me with access to
the machine!

I have tried to build gfortran 4.4 from scratch using MacPorts but the
resulting compiler doesn't handle the -m64 option properly.

That said, this is interesting: what is the issue, and are you doing
anything particular to the sources or configure line to obtain this
non-working compiler? And what does "doesn't handle the -m64 option
properly" mean?
