Thanks for the offer but unfortunately the PowerMac G5 system running
Tiger is a restricted system.
I have tried to build gfortran 4.4 from scratch using MacPorts but the
resulting compiler doesn't handle the -m64 option properly.
That said, this is interesting: what is the issue, and are you doing
anything particular to the sources or configure line to obtain this
non-working compiler? And what does "doesn't handle the -m64 option
properly" mean?
It was some time ago and I have already flushed MacPorts from the
system. But as I remember, with the -m64 option everything compiled OK
but then ld64 generated "unresolved" messages for what looked like
every runtime library routine.
