I've got TB9 running on 4 PCs now. One Windows XP x86
with 4 GB of ram where it is OK, not great. The other
three are Windows 7 x64 with 8 or 16 GB of ram. Works
well and recommended.

I've now found more information. The cause of the
problem seemed to be the number of posts in the largest
newsgroup reaching about 65,000.
The main part of the fix seems to be moving enough posts
to another folder that there are no more than about
35,000 left.
This does not fix the posts incorrectly marked as
unread, but it at least allows resuming newsgroups use.
I'm now running TB9.0.1.
