Butterfly port usage

Based on the following intesting article
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AVR-Chat/message/4021 it looks like ICP1 is
being used by the LCD display (as per
http://members.shaw.ca/climber/avrbutterfly)

Does anyone know if this means that pin might still be avilable if the LCD
isn't used/updated during input?
