Seems OK on a Win98SE box here, so WinME should be fine as well.
Had been running 4.07; uninstalled (with the 'keep old settings'
option), installed 4.08 (test build ran OK), then installed 4.08 service
pack 1 (test build OK there, too).
Try the usual Windows magic tricks (uninstall, clean registry,
reinstall). Maybe even scrub the directory and registry.
