REQUEST FOR DISCUSSION (RFD)
unmoderated group comp.os.integrity
This is a formal Request For Discussion (RFD) for the creation of a
world-wide unmoderated Usenet newsgroup comp.os.integrity.
Newsgroup line:
comp.os.integrity INTEGRITY developers' discussion.
RATIONALE: comp.os.integrity
There is currently no specific Usenet forum for discussion of Green
Hill's INTEGRITY realtime operating system and related technical issues.
USENET postings related to INTEGRITY currently appear in comp.realtime,
comp.arch.embedded, occasionally in newsgroups for other similar
real-time operating systems such as comp.os.vxworks or Yahoo message
boards set up by developers struggling to find a "community" of
INTEGRITY developers.
Many embedded developers are currently engaged or will, in the future,
be engaged in INTEGRITY based projects. Expectedly, these developers
will have had previous experience with other RTOS's including VxWorks,
QNX, pSOS, and OS9 and the like. These embedded developers need a
similar INTEGRITY developer support newsgroup like comp.os.vxworks,
comp.os.qnx, comp.os.psos and comp.os.os9.
An INTEGRITY newsgroup forum will allow developers to seek help and
assistance from experienced developers currently working with or
possessing valuable past knowledge of INTEGRITY.
Developers will also benefit from archived previous postings.
CHARTER: comp.os.integrity
This newsgroup, comp.os.integrity, is dedicated to INTEGRITY developers
to discuss development of all aspects of INTEGRITY. This includes board
support packages, device drivers, kernel functions and applications.
From:
http://www.ghs.com/products/rtos/integrity.html
Built on the velOSity(tm) microkernel, the INTEGRITY (R) RTOS is a
secure, royalty-free Real-Time Operating System intended for use in
embedded systems that require maximum reliability. INTEGRITY represents
the most advanced RTOS technology on the market today. Without the
burden of compatibility with 1980's vintage products, INTEGRITY was
designed from the ground up for 32-bit and 64-bit embedded processors,
and employs the latest in RTOS technology. INTEGRITY achieves
unprecedented levels of reliability, availability, and serviceability
for applications in telecommunications, defense, networking and medical
equipment along with many other industries.
Except for PGP and similar small signatures, please refrain from posting
large binaries.
END CHARTER.
