Maybe you should take this under advisement; it would probably lower
your blood pressure, and the SNR of the post you DO see would go up.
Experience has shown that failure to correct newbies and general
misuse leads to the destruction of newsgroups. Moderated groups
can take other steps, but have other problems.
It evens itself out just fine without the paesty netiqutte reminders.
You are never going to get everyone to voluntarily do what you want
them to do.
I would guesstimate that 50% of the people that get corrected
eventually come around. Without correction that number would be
0%. Of the 50% that don't respond, most just disappear from the
groups, or get plonked. The critical thing is not to just yell,
but to give them some reasons for the proper behaviour.
I would love to be able to retire this particular sig. :-)
