hi !

I want to build a wind vane from a low friction AC motor which spins
its rotor to the wind. And I am going to convert the frequency of the
AC motor into respective voltage and fed to the ADC to display the
speed on a PC.
Is their any commercially available "Frequency to Voltage converter"
ICs for this kind of applications ?

bYe 4 NoW.

A standard AC motor doesn't produce AC when you turn it. You can get
small low cost encoders or take an old mouse to pieces.
