Mozilla doesn't seem to let me apply a message filter globally, e.g. I
have to apply "MI5 Persecution" to each newsgroup the nut posts to.
Any recommendations for a news reader that does?
Can't help you with Mozilla, but in my newsreader (Tin) I have rules
that 1. kill all posts to comp.* groups that are crossposted to alt.*
and 2. kill all posts to comp.* that are crossposted to more than 3
groups. This kills almost all garbage (kooks, newsbots etc.) and while
real posts are occasionally caught they are rare enough that it's worth
it.
