and then the SNR goes way down and Bolivia has to install a second
9600bps modem to handle all the additional traffic that everyone in the
entire country is forced, by law, to download and mirror locally.
You know, nothing has really changed since my Fidonet days ten or
fifteen years ago - and in those days I really WAS paying for
bandwidth, since I called from Melbourne, Australia to Dallas, Texas to
pick up some of the feeds I couldn't get locally.
