Vinculum (http://www.vinculum.com) looks like a very attractive IC which allows interfacing to USB junkdrives with minimum hassle.
However I have heard the rumors that it is very slow: the realistic data transfer rate is about 300kbytes/sec at the best.
I didn't find any official performance data in the datasheets or FAQ.
Can you please comment on your experience with this IC and its performance.
No relevant experience, but what a terrible product name. It sounds
like it ought to be some kind of putrid glandular secretion. 8-(
BTW, I apologize for the multiple posting. I thought the message didn't go through for the first time because the product name seems to be related to the canadian pharmacy. So it was killed by the spam blockers.
