I was asked to design and implement a handheld image processing device. The
function of the device is that the camera captures an image, then do some
simple image processing, and then display the result on a LCD. Repeat this
procesure. The maxium resolution of the image is 1280x960, the frame rate
10fps. the image is black and white.
All the functions have been implemented by someone on NI CVS1455, with a
camera from SONY IEEE1394 interface. Now I have to implement all these
funtions on a handheld device. The smaller, the better. it is
battery-based.
Could you please give me some suggestions? What hardware platform is
appropriate? What kinds of camera (USB or IEEE1394 or Camera Link) should I
choose? Anything I should be aware?
Thank you very much!!
