Any introductory book on Java or C# should discuss this topic. For
example, Core Java by Horstmann and Cornell or Learning C# by Jesse Liberty.

There are also a lot of good resources on both the Sun and Microsoft
(MSDN) websites, I'm sure both places will have a white paper or 2 on
the topic.
