Activity and Sequence diagrams as detailed use case ?

Working with usecases, now excellent described by Bittner and Spence(
for instance), I am going back to uml en rational tools and somewhere
I get lost. How to put the detailed usecase or fully described use
case in diagrams and how do they connect ?
