    Given the evangelistic nature of XP discussions I had an idea .... please
    take it with the humour with which it was intended.

    The XP Prayer

    Oh XP who leads us towards software heaven
    Help us to form a whole team
    May the planning game be done
    And small releases will come fulfilling the customer tests
    Give us this day a simple design guided by a single overarching metaphor
    And forgive us when we forget to refactor and follow the coding standard
    as we forgive our pair when they forget about collective ownership and
    working at a sustainable pace
    And lead us not into BDUF
    But deliver us continuously integrated software using TDD
    Amen
