Call for some decency in posts

I think it is sad that the discussions on this group sometimes
degenerate to the usage of insulting language and personal attacks.

There are bound to be disagreements, differing interpretations, etc.
on many topics. But one can always respond to them in a civilized
manner.

I don't hold any brief for Robert Martin. But I do find it nauseating
that some people like to latch on to whatever is uttered by him and
then use offensive language to express their disagreements. He is not
the only one targeted of course, though perhaps is the most-often
targeted, maybe because he is among the most prolific in responding to
people's questions.

I urge this community to show greater maturity and respect for the
others. Disagreements need not mean acrimony or contempt for others.

I admire the clarity and precision with which Robert Martin answers
many questions. I have often found the examples and explanations given
by him to be very useful and insightful.

Though at the same time, I reserve the right to not agree with
everything that he says. For example, I do find it a bit surprising to
read what he has to say about dependency and other relationships,
which, I think, is at variance with the UML specifications and most
books that I have read on UML.
