Hello everybody,
A first experimental version of Obix (announced in July 2003) is now
available free of charge.
Obix is a new, high level, object-oriented programming language, designed
from the ground up to increase
- reliability
- productivity
- ease-of-use
of professional software development
Obix produces Java as target code and has built-in features which are very
helpful for creating high quality software, but which are absent in most
programming languages, such as:
- programming with contracts
- automated testing
- default input and multiple output arguments
- favor for immutable objects
- absence of popular, but error-prone programming techniques
and many more
You can find much more information at www.obix.lu and download a version
running on Windows (a Linux/Unix version will be available shortly)
Every feedback about things you like, dislike or miss is highly appreciated.
Kind regards.
