That depends on the software. The impact is surely more destructive than
constructive, at the start. It would be more direct on applications that
depend more on algorithmical complexity than in abstraction complexity.
The plain example is Shors' - cracking any cryptographic algorithm based on
integer factorization. Your typical affected application would be RSA
public key - hence for example instantly making certain https communication
s (perhaps with your bank) easily readable.
