Generally, to be able to query a set of entities requires that those
entities have some kind of structure, and to be able to apply logical
operations requires theoretical foundations. Surely systems that bring that
type of structure and come with firm foundations cast in calculi would be
considered _higher_ level abstractions than a so-called OO approach, where
the entities of discourse appear to have very little structure.
