I don't care about what your background is, but if you don't know that
DBMSs are intended to manage the business logic then you know very
very little about data management theory. Facts are facts and diplomas
decorate walls.

To suggest that the relational approach is a technology shows a
profound ignorance.

BTW I was talking about DBMSs and not about the relational approach.
Another confusion to add to the list.
