It's not a link, but Craig Larman's new book, "Agile & Iterative
Development, A Manager's Guide," (Addision-Wesley) has very good
coverage of the major agile methods, including Scrum, XP, and Evo.
Chapter 6, "Evidence" provides a comprehensive look at the history of
the "waterfall" approach, and more-or-less concludes that it was a
historical mistake, as the original author of the idea never intended
for waterfall be be used for large projects. This chapter alone is
worth the price of the book.
