Perhaps in this group there are some members of previous OTUG
discussion group at Rational where many Translation vs Elaboration
brutal discussions took place some years ago; so that maybe they are
interested to know this piece of not so new information:

Mentor acquires Project Technology

Actually this is just one of a string of acquisitions over the past five years of traditional translation vendors by major software houses who are trying to establish strategic positions. (ObjectTime got bought twice, first by Rational and then by IBM when buying Rational.)
