Sorry about that. For what it's worth, I made the same error when I saw your reply. I thought you wanted it offline. Thunderbird sets up replies for news and email automatically. I suppose some people like that, as it gives them a chance to see a reply without scanning the newsgroup, but it does seem prone to confusion.
