The "something more" doesn't need to be in the definition. It is built in
to the human system. No one is suggesting that robots generate the
production code. Some arguments are lost when you go off on a nonsense
tangent... as I believe that you have done.

No team of problem solvers will solve a business problem by creating a unit
test lookup table in the production code. There's not sense of
accomplishment, no pride in your work, no belief that you are doing
something good for someone. A team that would let this slide doesn't exist.
Even if they are not accomplished or poorly trained, or produce badly
structured code, even then, I've never seen a team that would a solve a
problem this way. The argument is silly on it's face.

You gain no credibility and you will convince no one by continuing this line
of reasoning. It's a dead end. Let it drop.
