That makes a lot more sense. I've been scanning over your weblog and
am better understanding the concept of dealing only with the objects
at-hand rather than manipulating the model as a whole.
In other research I was doing last night, an author noted that a
mistake that is often made by inexperienced designers is that they tend
to over-engineer a solution, rather than dealing with the system on a
by use-case basis.
The failing of my approach is that I was considering the system as a
whole, rather than as the sum of its parts. Thanks for making this
clear to me, I'll head back to the drawing board and see what I can
come up with.
