OOPSLA questions

Hello everybody,

I am considering attending OOPSLA conference this year.
Could someone who attended the conference in last couple of years provide some comment on the conference? What are interesting events on the conference? What should I avoid?

Observing the program, my first impression is that tutorials seem to be more interesting part of the conference, with other events seeming more like "goodies".

Any comments, advices, first hand impressions etc. would be very helpful.
