Yes. You had two Foos in your example; one embedded ('foo') and one created as a reference ('foo1'). The multiplicity on the [Foo] side of the relationship indicates how many distinct objects of the [Foo] set a single [Bar] object may be related to.

[Technically the 1 on the [Bar] side is my guess. Without knowing what went on inside "// ..." I can't say for certain whether other <temporary> relationships might have been instantiated between 'foo1' and other objects than Bar.]
