Hello,

Mental laziness is easier, lemming like buzz chasing seems like more
fun, topmind comes along and sounds alarm bells. Of course that seems
trollish.

From what I can tell he goes for a 100% RM, 0% OOP mixture, I prefer
to vary the mixture according to the need. I'm a fan of many
paradigms, I just morph between them all as required. So I don't agree
with his rather view or the opposite one which makes OOP everything
and the RM nothing.

But I don't believe topmind is a troll.

I've witnessed the work of hundreds of OO developers, the state of
affairs isn't exactly pretty. Read my "Mixing P/R philosophy with OO"
post for examples.

Our DB / OOP relationship needs a serious tune up and poor
productivity rates especially with J2EE (and probably .net) leave a
lot to be alarmed about.

Sincerely,
Yours truly.
