    If you look at it from the perspective of a female employee. I think
    it's safe to say that being beautiful and having a c++ cup (no pun
    intended) will give you an edge. In the end the deciding factor is how
    well/nasty you play your office politics. But I doubt you will ever
    see a higher management secretary looking really bad :)

    I think to a lesser degree this also applies to the male employee. If
    you want to be more than just a code monkey you need to learn to how
    to play the office-politics/marketing game. And I think looking 'right
    for the job' will also help ...
