Hello Arthur,

First of all thank you for your reply.

After your reply I realized that I forgot to mention some specific
things of how/where I'm hosting my website.
If it is running from my own computer which is also my web browsing
computer, it would be a lot easier. Move/swap/copy the bookmark list
from one directory (mozilla firebird (in my case)) to some upload
folder/directory.

But too bad, my hosting is on one of those big commercial discount
hosters with all those implemented security measurments.

But should that be a problem?
I have all kinds of usernames, passwords, ftp server adresses, upload
directory's etc etc, provided by the hosting company to upload my
website from applications like fetch, interarchy or macromedia
dreamweaver.

Maybe what you are proposing; a daemon-style program, can be
incorporated with these upload specifications.
Or to put it in an other way: a deamon style program in combination
with some Ftp/upload functionality with fixed (or by the user imported
) and validated upload information (passwordt, username...).
