0x800A03EC, asp and excel export

I am currently writing an asp page which creates and excel graph and
exports it to a jpg. Which i then use to display in the page.

I am currently using office XP and I installed the service pack 3 and
KB832332 updates.

This has cuase the 0x800A03EC error to occur I have searched the
internet for a solution to this problem but can't find anything.

If I were to uninstall office on my local machine and re-install the
problem would go away but I dont have control over the server and
therefore the update may get installed cuasing the page not to work
anymore.

The line it is falling at is

crt.Chart.Export Server.Mappath(path) & "\" & FileName, "jpg"

Does anyone have any suggestions

I would appreciate any kind of help or advice
